One photography project I've decided to embark on for 2016 is 10 on the 10th. I didn't want to overwhelm myself with a daily project, and even a weekly project seemed too much considering my other commitments. A once a month project is the right fit for me right now.
The premise of the project is simple, take 10 photos on the 10th of each month. The execution is not always so simple, which is what makes photography projects brilliant. They are designed to stretch you creatively.
On this particular Sunday, it was intermittently pouring rain, and sunny.
When the sun came out, I took the opportunity to go outside and get some raindrops.
And also a few of this cute guy.
After which he cuddled on his blanket with his favorite cat.
In search of something good to photograph, I set out for the ocean. I really wanted to go down and get Mike at the duck blind with a spectacular sunset, but the road was flooded, so I settled for a few dune shots.
After dinner, it was time for her and I to cuddle on the couch together. My favorite part of the day. If you're keeping track, that was 9 photos, not 10. It's all good. Nine photos to represent an average January day is better than no photos. For me, it's about preserving our story. One photo at a time.
