I'm thrilled to share I've collaborated with VIDA to have my artwork printed on scarves!
I've selected four of my favorite photos to be featured in this collection. It represents some of my best artwork from over the years and is very authentic to who I am as an artist. I'm really proud today to share this work with you.
I'm really excited to collaborate with VIDA for this collection. VIDA is a global partnership of creators, pairing designers from around the world with makers in Pakistan in accordance with high ethical standards, to create original, beautiful products. And the best part is that using part of proceeds from the sales of the products, VIDA creates literacy programs for the makers, so that they have opportunities to learn reading, writing and basic math that they would not otherwise have. This warms my soul. You know I'm all about giving back.

Here are the images I chose:
The iris is one of my favorite flowers. They are strong and bold and stand tall. As they continue to grow and spread they circle up, collecting together and supporting each other like family. I love that!
Each year, the Hofstra University campus hosts festivals celebrating the food, traditions and arts of several cultures, including the Dutch, Irish and Italian. Just in time for the Dutch Festival tens of thousands of tulips bloom throughout the campus. It is an annual tradition I share with my mom and aunt as we walk the grounds, taking tons of photographs and enjoying the festivities.
Sunset in the Hamptons
Although the colors are more telling of a sunrise, this photo was taken at sunset at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays. Often when standing along the ocean waters, I'm reminded that I'm on the very edge of a continent. Totally cool.
Stand Out From the Crowd
Of course I needed to include a photo from Disney. :) This lone deep pink rose is so bold, standing taller than its friends, calling attention to itself. Make yourself be seen. Be unique. Offer the world the best of yourself and you will never be disappointed.
This is a LIMITED TIME collection and we’ll be taking orders through January 15, 2016. There is no minimum number of sales required to send a design to production.
If 10 or more scarves are sold between now and January 15, 2016, VIDA will upgrade my collection to Slate status. This will allow my artwork to continue after January 15 and will be promoted by VIDA on their website.
The scarves are reasonably priced at $40 each. If you purchase during this pre-order period and I meet my goal of 10 or more sales, you will receive a $25 VIDA gift card. It's a win-win! I've already purchased Tulip Festival and I can't wait for it to arrive!
As an added bonus, VIDA has a Facebook promotion -- save 10% with coupon code FACEBOOK10

UPDATE 1/28/16: Thanks to your support, my collection has reached its quota and has been upgraded to Slate status! The collection will continue indefinitely, and I will begin to add new designs.
Please note that the photos above are depictions of the photo overlaid on a template. The scarves themselves are more about the color than the detail in the photograph. I received the Tulip Festival scarf and it is absolutely stunning. It's very yellow with some pink and green, very uplifting and gorgeous. So if pink is your thing, get Stand out From the Crowd. Purple is more your jam? Get Lilac. You won't be disappointed!
